Tuesday, Sept. 14

We had a much better day today. It was nice to see her feeling semi-good. She's been a lot better about keeping on top of her pain meds. She's been feeling extremely exhausted though. She's not getting enough rest...

So - with that, I fear we really need to limit her visitors. Her doctor is really concerned about how many visitors she's been having. He can't stress to us enough how important it is for her rest - ALOT! After serious injuries and surgeries, sleep is the BEST thing your body can do for itself. Those of you who have had surgeries, I'm sure realize this. The doctor has asked us to be extremely conservative. It's also difficult because of her schedule. She has a minimum of 3 hrs. per day of different therapies. Then in-between those, she has various visits from other specialists, meals, etc. Which already leaves very little time for her to rest. The dr. recommended that we limit visitors to about 2 per day, limiting visits to 10 min. max, and he really stressed the importance of calling/emailing/texting either me or my dad to make sure she's 1)awake, 2)in the mood for visitors, 3)not in therapy. It's easier for her to see a schedule of who is coming so she knows exactly what to expect and when she can rest. At times, she just starts fading out to sleep and then someone will unexpectedly come. So please -- call, text, or email. My (celeste) phone number is: 801-230-9876.

In talking to mom about this earlier this evening, she did say that she feels really worn out and feels like the doctor is absolutely right. Especially as she gets more intense into therapy, it really wears her out and makes her sleepy.

We hope no one takes offense -- we know you all care for her and love her to bits! That's why you want to see her.  It's not she doesn't want to see you - she totally appreciates each of you and she suggested that maybe sending her an email or card would be best for a while.

If you want to send her an email - you can send it via the facebook page (Lisa Hardy Update), or to me: celestegrover@gmail.com.

I can not thank you each enough! I know that today was a better day for her because of your prayers for her. And again -- please don't take offense to this. It's not personally geared to any one person. She has asked us to put some limits out there and it's also simply what we as her family and what her doctor feels is best for her in order for her to heal as quickly and completely as possible.

She sends her love!
