“There is a knowledge that our Father in Heaven wants each of us to have, and that is a personal knowledge that he hears and answers our prayers.” -Spencer W. Kimball

Saturday, Sept. 11

I hate when mom feels sad. She seems to get that way mostly in the evening and night. I wish there was something I could do, or say to make it go away.

I know it is so discouraging for her to go through this. She is used to going and doing. Me, Mel, and Cheryl took her for a walk around the building and we stopped in the shade. She has such a great view. She was getting a little teary-eyed and told us how grateful she was for us girls. She said that maybe this is a blessing in disguise. That this experience will afford her the opportunity to slow down and look at life through different eyes.

It was touching - and I look forward to having her around a lot more. I also look forward to her getting back up enjoying some of her favorite activities - maybe we'll find a happy middle ground between those 2 places.
